We make sure that the boat handover process is smooth and well-organized, so you can feel confident and ready for a relaxing start to your paddling tour. Here’s what to expect:
1. Arrival and Parking
If you arrive by car, you can park directly on our premises. Our rental station is located right next to the parking lot and reception, so you can easily load your gear into the boat. The boats are only a few steps away, and your tour begins right on-site without the need for extra transfers or complicated logistics.
2. Booking Additional Equipment
If you need extra gear, such as drybags, pack barrels, tents, sleeping mats, or a camping stove, you can easily add these on arrival. We also offer DANO cards for the official campsites and fishing licenses for the Dalsland Canal.
3. Boat Introduction
Before you head out, we’ll give you a basic introduction to the boat you’ve rented. You’ll learn how to safely enter and exit, steer the boat, and store your gear efficiently.
4. Safety Briefing and Navigation Tips
Your safety is important to us. That’s why we’ll provide a short safety briefing covering essential topics such as weather conditions, wind, and route planning. We’ll also share practical tips on navigating the Dalsland Canal and nearby lakes.
5. Optional: Joint Route Planning
If you’d like help planning your route, we’re happy to assist. We can tailor the route to your preferences, including which lakes to explore and how many daily kilometers to cover.
6. Easy Start Right On-Site
Since the boats are located right at our facility, you can launch your tour directly after the briefing—no need for extra transportation or delays. Everything you need is already here.

For a more relaxed and stress-free start, consider spending the night in one of our rooms or holiday apartments, located just steps away from the boats. You can enjoy a restful night and begin your trip fresh the next morning. On-site amenities include a sauna and a barbecue area directly by the lake, offering breathtaking views to start or end your journey perfectly.
